List building is a crazy thing you do everything you can to add subscribers to your list every day, but sometimes you find that they just arent buying from you, or they arent clicking into your emails, or you find they arent clicking through to your referral pages, or they are opting out of your list after they get the free gift.

It is more than just a free gift or ecourse. It is more than pretty sales pages and conversion rates. It is about relationship. You see, you dont want them to buy something from you. You want them to become your friend, you want them to see you as an expert, so that when they buy in the future, they buy from you. You want their long term dollar, not their short term dollar.

You want them to buy from you repeatedly, long into the future. That is the key to your long term income with your list.

I am building my list so that it will make me money when I am not online. I do not want to have to continually be building my list for it to make me money. I want to be able to build my list one time, and develop a relationship one time, and have people buy from me for a long time.

And to do that you have to build a relationship. You cannot just sell them. You have to send them incredible content, you have to send them strong value, you have to show them that you really care.
