What to beware of:--- Overblown hype
Any advertisement for a scheme which uses words and phrases like "secret", "amazing", "your income will explode", "I made $150,000 in 3 months", and displays pictures of Ferraris, boats and beach mansions on a page which has to be scrolled 10 times to reach the bottom probably has no more to offer than the words and pictures themselves. Such exaggeration is necessary to convince the ignorant and the gullible that something substantial exists where there is nothing or almost nothing. ANY GOOD PRODUCT OR SCHEME SHOULD BE ABLE TO SPEAK FOR ITSELF.
--- Vacuous advertisements
An advertisement which tells you nothing about how the scheme actually works indicates that it probably doesn't. Paying for something about which you know nothing is lunacy. You wouldn't do it in a shop; Why should you do it on the Web? AGAIN, ANY GOOD PRODUCT OR SCHEME SHOULD NOT BE AFRAID TO SPEAK FOR ITSELF.
--- Obvious lies
"We're not trying to sell you anything." "Our people are expert mathematicians." "We've released this information as we've accumulated a significant amount of money using the Cyclone system." (Signed) Dr T.B. PhD. That "expert mathematician" claims that you win at on-line roulette by doubling your stake if you lose a bet. What a load of eyewash that is! The good doctor gets commission on the money you'll lose after you sign up!
--- Dumb and dumber
Any advertiser who cannot spell correctly is more likely to be a rip-off artist than a serious business person with something genuine to offer. After all, if little or no effort has been made to present the product or scheme perfectly, what are the chances that the product or scheme will work perfectly? Some people cannot spell even the name of their product correctly! (Cash Generarion Pro)
--- Template web pages
Nowadays even dummies can produce web pages. Those who use templates often are, and are more likely to be back-bedroom shysters than serious business people with a genuine opportunity to offer. It is easy to recognise such stereotyped pages. (Example: cashmultipliersystem)
It's not all gloom and doom!
